2.2.1. Travel Map

Pressing the Map icon at the bottom of your screen or pressing the M key on your keyboard will display the travel map. The travel map is the primary way to move around Onverse. Simply click the area you want to go and you will be taken there!

The top displays a section of tabs which allows you to jump from less specific areas to more specific ones. There is a description of the area in the left hand corner. A list of instances of that area in the right hand corner; the instances can be sorted in ascending or descending order by: name, number of users, number of available homes, and number of friends. The bottom half of the window shows the map.

Points of Interest (POI) are shown on the map as golden stars and are the main points of a map. A bigger golden star set inside a circle denotes the default starting point on a map.

Land and housing is shown on the map as a house icon. The bigger the property, the bigger its icon; the icons are also color coded to reflect the property’s status: green means it is owned by a friend, red means it is owned by a player who is not a friend, blue means it is owned by you, and white means it is unowned and can be purchased!

Apartments are shown on the map as an apartment building icon. A red icon means it is a penthouse apartment, a golden icon means it is a deluxe apartment, and a blue icon means it is a free apartment.

There is also a map legend displayed in the bottom right hand corner of each area describing what can be done there: a dollar sign denotes shopping, a PP gem denotes PP hunting, a house denotes homes can be purchased, and a tree denotes land plots can be purchased.

The sixth tab, SYSTEM MESSAGES, will display messages from the server and announcements. The seventh tab, GAME MESSAGES, will display any messages related to games you are playing.

Chat can be used to execute commands within Onverse as well. Simple type slash (/) followed by the command to execute it. For a list of all commands and how to execute them, type “/” into your chat window and then hit the Tab key.
